High nonlinearity and low leakage current SnO2 varistor ceramics by co-doping with yttrium and tantalum

Wenxin Liang et al.

Summary: The study focused on co-doping of tantalum and yttrium into SnO2 varistors, showing that moderate tantalum doping can reduce leakage current while maintaining high voltage gradient and excellent nonlinearity. The best electrical performance was achieved with yttrium and tantalum doping levels of 0.05 mol% and 0.003 mol%, respectively.

Formation of highly uniform tin oxide nanochannels by electrochemical anodization on cold sprayed tin coatings

Mehdi Zarei et al.

Summary: In this study, self-organized nanoporous tin oxide films were prepared on cold sprayed tin and tin foil through a voltage-controlled anodization method. A simple way to achieve a completely open nanoporous structure was reported. The porous structures prepared on cold sprayed tin and tin foil were found to be different, and annealing at 350 degrees Celsius was identified as the highest applicable temperature to maintain the nanoporous structure and substrate adhesion.
