Johari-Goldstein Heterogeneous Dynamics in a Model Polymer

Francesco Puosi et al.

Summary: Molecular dynamics simulations of a model polymer system reveal the heterogeneous nature of JG relaxation, showing a double-peaked evolution of dynamic heterogeneity with peaks at JG and structural relaxation time scales. The short-term single-particle displacement during JG relaxation weakly correlates with the long-term displacement observed during structural relaxation.
