Visible light driven degradation of xanthene dyes using novel synthesised quaternary nanomaterial ZrCdPbO4

The degradation study of Erythrosine-B and Eosin-Y was carried out using the nanomaterial ZrCdPbO4 in a photocatalytic process. The ZrCdPbO4 photocatalyst was characterized to determine its oxidation states, surface structure, and band gap energy. Various parameters were evaluated to determine the degradation rate, and control experiments confirmed the key role of ZrCdPbO4 in the degradation of dyes.
Degradation study of Erythrosine-B and Eosin-Y (xanthene dyes) was carried out by photocatalysis using nanomaterial ZrCdPbO4, which was synthesised by solid co-precipitation method under controlled conditions. The prepared photocatalyst was characterised by XPS, XRD, FESEM, UV-VIS analysis and other techniques to find out the presence of oxidation states of elements, surface structure and band gap energy. Rate of degradation was evaluated by varying different parameters like pH, amount of photocatalyst, concentration of dyes and irradiation power. ZrCdPbO4 photocatalyst plays a key role in degradation of dyes which was confirmed through control experiments.
