Urban traffic accident risk prediction for knowledge-based mobile multimedia service

Roy C. Park et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new accident prediction model using deep learning, which predicts risk by analyzing static and dynamic features of the road. Testing the model with 4470 accident cases from Seoul over 5 months shows high accuracy and recall. Based on the testing results, a guiding system is developed to provide risk levels and improvement recommendations for roads.

Modeling and predicting vehicle accident occurrence in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Jeremiah Roland et al.

Summary: In order to prevent vehicle accidents, multiple factors were studied and a multilayer perceptron model was proposed. This model predicts accident hotspots by analyzing accidents and their related factors, providing real-time service to local law enforcement and emergency response services.
