Summary: Yarn-shaped supercapacitors with CNTs and PPy embedded in cotton yarns with a ply twist structure exhibit excellent electrical conductivity, mechanical properties, high specific capacitance, and ideal cycle stability. The assembled supercapacitor shows good power density and energy density, presenting outstanding capacitive performance under different angles, providing new possibilities for 1D supercapacitors and flexible wearable electronics applications.

Summary: This review comprehensively and systematically expounds the recent progress of state-of-the-art flexible supercapacitors using advanced carbon nanomaterials, covering micro/nano-structure control, macroscopic morphologies design, property optimization, and application. The challenges and prospects of carbon nanomaterials applied in flexible supercapacitors are outlined and emphasized based on the current advances. Additionally, the matching between the characters of carbon nanomaterials, construction of flexible supercapacitors, and fabrication technologies are proposed.
