Adaptive Granularity Learning Distributed Particle Swarm Optimization for Large-Scale Optimization

Summary: A new adaptive granularity learning distributed particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to address the issues of slow convergence and local optima trap in large-scale optimization. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm outperforms other state-of-the-art large-scale optimization algorithms on 35 benchmark functions.

Maximizing Lifetime of Range-Adjustable Wireless Sensor Networks: A Neighborhood-Based Estimation of Distribution Algorithm

Summary: Sensor activity scheduling is critical for extending the lifetime of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The prevalence of sensors with adjustable sensing ranges poses new challenges, making it difficult to directly solve the lifetime maximization problem. A neighborhood-based estimation of distribution algorithm (NEDA) is proposed to address this issue, optimizing network lifetime through coverage scheme evolution and LP model solving. NEDA outperforms existing approaches and has potential applications in solving other flexible LP problems.
