Summary: This paper proposes a mathematical modeling approach of blood vessels as molecular transport channels, aiming to study the underlying processes and higher-level functions in the circulatory system, as well as design nano-scale healthcare applications. By using a continuous-time Markov chain framework, the active transport mechanisms on the inner vessel wall are simplified, while a general homogeneous boundary condition is introduced to accurately formulate the flow-induced diffusion problem.
