Carbon Dioxide Distribution, Origins, and Transport Along a Frontal Boundary During Summer in Mid-Latitudes

Arkayan Samaddar et al.

Summary: Studies have shown that cold front passages lead to significant events of CO2 transport, with vertical advection playing a major role. Numerical simulations demonstrate that continental surface fluxes have a significant impact on CO2 concentrations in the atmospheric boundary layer and lower troposphere. Horizontal and vertical advection are crucial in the transport of CO2 mole fractions along the frontal boundary.
