Influence of sugar label formats on consumer understanding and amount of sugar in food choices: a systematic review and meta-analyses

Summary: The study showed that label formats with high in sugar interpretative texts and health warning messages are effective in improving consumers' understanding of sugar content in packaged foods. Providing graphical depictions of sugar content in teaspoons can also influence consumers to choose products with lower sugar content.
