Submerged Aquatic Vegetation Patch Size Affects Fish Communities in a Turbid-Algal Lake

Audrey Looby et al.

Summary: Submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) is declining worldwide, leading to reductions in ecological functions for fish habitat. More research is needed to evaluate species-specific and community-level effects of SAV and inform restoration decision-making. Results indicate that fish abundance, biomass, and community structure change with SAV patch size, expanding knowledge to inform future management efforts.
