Synergistic effects of Ag-doped and morphology regulation of graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets for enhanced photocatalytic performance

Summary: A simple protocol was reported for synthesizing silver doped and morphological regulated g-C3N4 to improve its photocatalytic performance. The synergistic effect of Ag doping and porous carbon nitride nanosheets enhanced photogenerated electron capture and transfer efficiency, leading to excellent degradation of organic pollutants under visible light irradiation. The increased photocurrent response and proposed photocatalytic mechanism further supported the enhanced efficiency and stability of the 1% Ag-CNNS sample.

Co2P nanosheet cocatalyst-modified Cd0.5Zn0.5S nanoparticles as 2D-0D heterojunction photocatalysts toward high photocatalytic activity

Summary: A novel Co2P(8) nanosheet cocatalyst was successfully synthesized and used to enhance the photocatalytic H-2 generation performance of Cd0.5Zn0.5S nanoparticles, resulting in significant improvements in carrier recombination rate and overpotential reduction for H+. The introduction of the Co2P(8) nanosheet cocatalyst led to a high H-2 evolution rate of 68.02 mmol g(-1)h(-1) and a 30.1% apparent quantum efficiency at 420 nm, approximately 103 times higher than that of bare CZS.

Functionalized Cd0.5Zn0.5S Chalcogenide Nanotwins Enabling Z-Scheme Photocatalytic Water Splitting

Summary: This study reports efficient pure water splitting for simultaneous H-2 and H2O2 production over a Cd0.5Zn0.5S (CZS) nanotwin photocatalyst by forming unique phosphorus bridges at the surface of the photocatalyst, enabling efficient charge separation and restricted photocorrosion via a two-electron Z-scheme mechanism. The optimal photocatalyst exhibited a 5.2 times increased H-2 evolution rate compared to the pristine CZS as well as good stability.

Z-Scheme Bi/Bi2O2CO3/Layered Double-Hydroxide Nanosheet Heterojunctions for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction under Visible Light
