Summary: Recent interest in customized bariatric stents for managing sleeve gastrectomy leaks has spurred a meta-analysis comparing them with conventional esophageal stents. Results show very low evidence that CES may have superior clinical success and lower migration rates compared to CBS, but uncertainty remains. Design modification for CBS is recommended for improved outcomes.
