The [POSS-MAH-PBA] boronate affinity monolithic column exhibited higher selectivity for adenosine compared to [POSS-MAH] column, making it a promising adsorbent for selective adsorption of cis-diol containing compounds in biological fluids. Methacryl Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (POSS-MA) provided the advantage of high surface area and stable 3-dimensional architectures for the adsorbent.

Preparation of zirconium arsenate-modified monolithic column for selective enrichment of phosphopeptides

Removal of empty capsids from adeno-associated virus preparations by multimodal metal affinity chromatography

Summary: The study explored the separation of empty and full adeno-associated virus capsids using multimodal metal affinity chromatography. Different metal ions charged columns showed varying capabilities in binding contaminants, with iron and manganese binding more contaminants while calcium, magnesium, barium, and copper binding the least. The recovery rate of full serotype 9 capsids was 100% with complete elimination of empty capsids.

Summary: A new and facile strategy was developed to prepare aptamer-based hybrid affinity monolith in one-pot at room temperature, achieving a more efficient and rapid method. By optimizing the recipe for photo-initiated polymerization, the monolith showed a more homogeneous skeleton structure, higher aptamer reaction efficiency, and better specific selectivity to OTA.
