Seasonal Variations in Carbon, Nitrogen, and Phosphorus Stoichiometry of a Robinia pseudoacacia Plantation on the Loess Hilly Region, China

Congguo Dong et al.

Summary: Seasonal variations of C, N, and P contents and ratios were explored in a Robinia pseudoacacia plantation on the Loess Plateau in China. The study found that the C:N:P stoichiometry of plants was more sensitive to seasonal changes than litter and soil, while competition for N and P existed between trees and understory herbs, impacting the effective use of environmental resources in the ecosystem. This research provides valuable information for vegetation restoration and plantation management on the Loess Plateau and contributes to global stoichiometric analyses.
