A tripodal receptor TM employing three aroyl hydrazone moieties has been designed for the selective determination of Hg2+ and Br-. The TM shows AIE properties and could selectively relay fluorescent response for Hg2+ and Br-. It can be used for fluorescent sensing Hg2+ and Br- in living cells with high sensitivities.
The efficient detection of toxic substances is a very important task. Herein, a tripodal receptor TM employing three aroyl hydrazone moieties as binding sites has been designed and used for the selective determination of Hg2+ and Br- . The TM shows AIE properties and could selectively relay fluorescent response for Hg2+ and Br- . The detection limit (LOD) for Hg2+ and Br- is found to be 4.95 x 10-8 M and 1.7 x 10-6 M. More interestingly, the TM could be used for fluorescent sensing Hg2+ and Br- in living cells with high sensitivities.
