The study experimentally determined the boundaries of the solid solution with the anatase structure formed by the substitution of boron and phosphorus for titanium. Based on synthesis and analysis, a phase equilibrium diagram of the TiO2-B2O3-P2O5 system was constructed.
The boundaries of the solid solution with the anatase structure that is formed by the substitution of boron and phosphorus for titanium were experimentally determined for the first time. Samples of the nominal composition Ti1 - (x)(BP)(x/2)O-2 were synthesized by the gel combustion method and studied by X-ray powder diffraction analysis and IR spectroscopy. Based on the data obtained, the diagram of the TiO2-B2O3-P2O5 system was constructed, which describes phase equilibria between the solid solution with the anatase structure, Ti5P4O20, TiP2O7, and BPO4.
