Diamond Nanofluids: Microstructural Analysis and Heat Transfer Study

Farzin Mashali et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the thermo-physical properties of functionalized diamond nanofluids, finding a significant thermal enhancement at the optimum point with minimal adverse effects from increased viscosity. Results also showed up to a 27% enhancement in heat transfer coefficient with a particle loading of only 0.05 wt.%.

Experimental Study on Thermophysical Properties of Propylene Glycol-Based Graphene Nanofluids

Fei Dong et al.

Summary: This study determined the optimal dispersion conditions of nanofluids using orthogonal experiments, successfully preparing stable graphene/propylene glycol nanofluids and evaluating their thermal conductivity and viscosity. The results show that the thermal conductivity of nanofluids increases with the increase of graphene concentration and nanofluid temperature, while the viscosity increases with graphene concentration but decreases significantly with increasing nanofluid temperature.

Entropy generation and exergy efficiency analysis of ethylene glycol-water based nanodiamond + Fe3O4 hybrid nanofluids in a circular tube

B. Saleh et al.

Summary: Experimental results show that the addition of nanodiamond+Fe3O4 hybrid nanofluids can significantly increase thermal conductivity and viscosity, thereby improving heat transfer efficiency. Under the conditions of 0.2% particle loading and 60 degrees Celsius, the entropy generation and exergy efficiency of the hybrid nanofluids are significantly increased.

EFFECT OF CORE-ROD DIAMETER ON WIRE COIL INSERTS FOR HEAT TRANSFER AND FRICTION FACTOR OF HIGH-PRANDTL NUMBER MAGNETIC Fe3O4 NANOFLUIDS IN A FULLY DEVELOPED LAMINAR FLOW

L. Syam Sundar et al.

Summary: The experimental analysis showed that increasing the concentration of nanofluids can enhance heat transfer, while the core-rod diameter and p/d ratio of wire coil inserts can affect the enhancement of Nusselt numbers. It was found that under certain conditions, the maximum heat transfer enhancement can be achieved with a nanofluid concentration of 0.5%.
