A Real-World Prospective Study of the Safety and Effectiveness of the Loop Open Source Automated Insulin Delivery System

John W. Lum et al.

Summary: The Loop open source system demonstrated improved time-in-range and HbA1c levels in both adults and children with type 1 diabetes, showing its safety and effectiveness over a 6-month period. Reported severe hypoglycemia events also decreased significantly, indicating the potential benefits of using the Loop automated insulin delivery system.

Safety and Functional Integrity of Continuous Glucose Monitoring Components After Simulated Radiologic Procedures

Christopher Thomas et al.

Summary: The wearable components of the Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitoring system were found to maintain basic functionality and data integrity after exposure to simulated therapeutic and diagnostic radiologic procedures. Devices were not significantly affected by x-irradiation used in typical imaging studies. Simulated MRI procedures generated displacement force, minimal heating, and current in sensor/transmitter pairs.

Flash CGM Is Associated With Reduced Diabetes Events and Hospitalizations in Insulin-Treated Type 2 Diabetes

Richard M. Bergenstal et al.

Summary: Flash continuous glucose monitoring (flash CGM) has been shown to improve glycemic control in type 1 and type 2 diabetes patients, leading to reduced risks of acute and chronic complications, which subsequently decrease emergency department visits and hospitalizations.
