Prediction of the autogenous shrinkage and microcracking of alkali-activated slag and fly ash concrete

Summary: This study successfully predicted the autogenous shrinkage of alkali-activated concrete using a new numerical approach that considers creep and the restraining effect of aggregates. The results indicated a high tendency for the development of microcracking in AAC.
