Deep Transfer Learning Based Classification Model for COVID-19 Disease

Y. Pathak et al.

Summary: The COVID-19 infection is rapidly spreading, but there is a limited availability of testing kits. Thus, the development of COVID-19 testing kits is an ongoing area of research. Recent studies have shown that chest CT images can be used for COVID-19 testing and classification, but predicting bilateral changes poses challenges. In this paper, a deep transfer learning technique is employed along with cost-sensitive attributes to address the issues with noisy and imbalanced COVID-19 dataset. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed deep transfer learning-based COVID-19 classification model compared to other supervised learning models.

Computer aid screening of COVID-19 using X-ray and CT scan images: An inner comparison

Prabira Kumar Sethy et al.

Summary: This study conducted a critical analysis on a group of computer aid screening methods for COVID-19 using chest X-ray and CT images, comparing 65 classification models. The findings showed that the models performed better on chest X-ray images than on CT scan images, with VGG19 and SVM achieving the highest accuracy of 99.81% in this scenario.
