Toward data-efficient learning: A benchmark for COVID-19 CT lung and infection segmentation

Jun Ma et al.

Summary: This study establishes three benchmarks for COVID-19 CT segmentation, including areas such as few-shot learning, domain generalization, and knowledge transfer, and provides standard training, validation, and testing splits for a fair comparison among different methods. By offering over 40 pretrained baseline models, high average Dice similarity coefficient and normalized surface Dice scores were achieved, showcasing efficient deep learning methods for COVID-19 lung and infection segmentation.

Does non-COVID-19 lung lesion help? investigating transferability in COVID-19 CT image segmentation

Yixin Wang et al.

Summary: This study introduces a hybrid encoder learning method based on a multi-lesion pre-trained model, which achieves better training performance for COVID-19 infection segmentation. By utilizing multiple lung lesion datasets and transfer learning strategies, the model demonstrates improved accuracy and generalization, showing the effectiveness of incorporating non-COVID-19 lung lesion features for COVID-19 CT image segmentation.
