In this study, high-performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials EP/AgNW/TAGA with enhanced electrical conductivity and compressive strength were successfully prepared, showing great potential for diverse applications in various fields.
In order to prepare the high-performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials to cope with the increasingly serious electromagnetic (EM) radiation pollution situation, in this work, epoxy/Ag nanowire/ thermal annealed graphene aerogel composites (EP/AgNW/TAGA) with three-dimensional (3D) bicontinuous conductive skeleton are prepared through a vacuum-assisted impregnation method. By introducing the one-dimensional (1D) AgNW on two-dimensional (2D) graphene and welding the AgNW during hydrothermal reduction and thermal annealing process, the electrical conductivity of EP/AgNW/TAGA are greatly enhanced from 26.5 S/m to the highest value of 595.7 S/m. Besides, the EP/AgNW/TAGA achieve the highest EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) value of 84.01 dB in X-band and absorption-dominate shielding mechanism. Moreover, the compressive strength of composites reached 173.54 MPa, which shows the great application value as high-performance EMI shielding material in fields like construction, aerospace and electronics field.
