Evidence against benefits from cognitive training and transcranial direct current stimulation in healthy older adults

Kristina S. Horne et al.

Summary: The study suggests that left prefrontal cortex tDCS paired with decision-making training may not effectively ameliorate age-related cognitive decline in older adults. Contrary to studies in younger adults, the training enhancement and transfer effects to untrained tasks were not observed in this population.
