Copper in LaMnO3 to promote peroxymonosulfate activation by regulating the reactive oxygen species in sulfamethoxazole degradation

Summary: This study investigated the role of copper in promoting PMS activation performance of LaMnO3 for efficient degradation of SMX in water treatment. The results showed that Cu-LaMnO3 could regulate the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and achieve radical dominant PMS activation mechanism, leading to enhanced catalytic activity compared to LaMnO3 alone. This study provides new insights for improving the catalytic activity of perovskites in PMS activation in water treatment.
