Co-expression network of long non-coding RNA and mRNA reveals molecular phenotype changes in kidney development of prenatal chlorpyrifos exposure in a mouse model

Bingjue Li et al.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of prenatal CPF exposure on kidney development in mice using RNA sequencing and WGCNA analysis, revealing changes in molecular phenotypes. Hub mRNAs associated with CPF exposure were mainly involved in extracellular matrix and collagen degradation. Kidney development was found to be obstructed at E12.5, leading to ectopic proximal tubule formation at E18.5.
