Thermoluminescence study of sodium aluminosilicate phosphors

Digambar A. Ovhal et al.

Summary: In this study, sodium aluminosilicates NaAlSi2O6: Dy and Na6Al6Si10O32: Eu were synthesized and their thermoluminescence properties were investigated. Both phosphors exhibit similar TL glow peaks and linear TL response within a specific range of ion fluence. The trapping parameters of the samples were analyzed and found to have good agreement, suggesting potential applications in radiation dosimetry.

White-light emitting Ca2MgSi2O7:Dy3+ nanopowders: Structural, spectroscopic investigations and advanced forensic applications

G. R. Revannasiddappa et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of Dy3+ doped Ca2MgSi2O7 nanopowders were successfully synthesized using a green combustion technique with Aloe vera gel as fuel. The fabricated samples exhibited good phase transparency and a single-phase tetragonal structure. Characterization techniques such as diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and photoluminescence analysis provided insights into the energy band gap values, morphological features, and emission peaks, respectively. The results indicated that the synthesized nanopowders have potential applications in cool white light emitting diodes (wLEDs) and forensic studies.

Narrow-band red-emitting phosphor with negligible concentration quenching for hybrid white LEDs and plant growth applications†

Kasturi Singh et al.

Summary: Narrow-band red-emitters play a key role in addressing issues with white LED technology. Newly synthesized Li3BaSrLa3(MoO4)(8):Eu3+ phosphors exhibit strong emission performance and stability for warm white LED applications. Furthermore, these phosphors maintain high emission intensity even under high temperature conditions.
