Summary: The study investigated transcriptomic states of morphologically identified parvalbumin interneurons (PV-INs) using single-cell RNA-seq, revealing high transcriptomic similarity among PV-INs with only few genes showing divergent expression. Additionally, PV-INs exhibited a uniform synaptic cell adhesion molecule (CAM) profile, suggesting CAM expression in mature cells does not reflect wiring specificity post-development.
