The Diagnostic Assessment Research Tool in Action: A Preliminary Evaluation of a Semistructured Diagnostic Interview for DSM-5 Disorders

Luke H. Schneider et al.

Summary: This article describes the initial validation of the Diagnostic Assessment Research Tool (DART), a modular semistructured interview used to aid in diagnosing various disorders among adults according to the DSM-5. Results of the study showed excellent construct validity, convergent validity for all diagnostic categories, and established discriminant validity for the majority of diagnoses assessed. The study provides support for the DART as a useful tool for assessing major diagnostic categories corresponding with DSM-5 disorders.

Summary: Mental health issues have significantly increased during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, especially for vulnerable groups. Vulnerable groups are more anxious about their health, but not more intolerant of uncertainty than the nonvulnerable.
