Elucidation of S-Allylcysteine Role in Inducing Apoptosis by Inhibiting PD-L1 Expression in Human Lung Cancer Cells

Fahad Khan et al.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the therapeutic potential of the organosulphur compound S-allylcysteine (SAC) as a PD-L1 immune checkpoint inhibitor, showing significant anticancer effects on lung cancer cells by inhibiting PD-L1 and HIF-1 alpha expression. In vitro and in silico analyses demonstrated that SAC reduced cell growth and proliferation, induced apoptosis, and efficiently docked with the PD-L1 target protein, suggesting its potential as a novel chemotherapeutic candidate for lung cancer treatment.

Jab1 Inhibition by Methanolic Extract ofMoringa OleiferaLeaves in Cervical Cancer Cells: A Potent Targeted Therapeutic Approach

Pratibha Pandey et al.

Summary: Research suggests that MMLE demonstrates inhibition against Jab1 in cervical cancer cells, leading to decreased cell growth, enhanced nuclear condensation, and down-regulation of Jab1 expression. Additionally, increased p27 expression and oxidative stress-induced caspase-3 activation are potential mechanisms behind the inhibitory effect of MMLE on Jab1.
