Luminous efficiency based on FRIPON meteors and limitations of ablation models

E. Drolshagen et al.

Summary: In this study, luminous efficiencies of meteors were calculated using meteor data and specific formulas. The results showed that fast meteors have higher luminous efficiency due to the larger energy release, and smaller meteoroids have more efficient radiation. The study also discussed the limitations of the current model for determining luminous efficiency.
