Does glacial environment produce glacial mineral grains? Pro- and supra-glacial Icelandic sediments in microtextural study

The findings suggest that quartz grains from glacial-related sedimentary environments are indeed of glacial origin. The study also reveals that glacial grains diminish with distance from a glacier, while fine-grained cryoconite mineral grains may have glacially-induced microtextures due to grain-crushing. Additionally, the grain types in adjacent cryoconite holes are different, indicating their independence and randomness.
