Geotechnical and micro-structural characteristics of phyllite derived soil; implications for slope stability, Lesser Himalaya, Uttarakhand, India

T. Ansari et al.

Summary: This study investigated the physical, micro-structural, and geotechnical characteristics of soil derived from phyllite weathering along certain sections of National Highway-7 in Uttarakhand, India. The stability analysis using different methods revealed that two locations were in a critical and unstable state. The research provides insights into the composition and deformation behavior of such soils, with potential implications for their future assessment and use in the construction industry.
