Self-assembled synthesis of oxygen-doped g-C3N4 nanotubes in enhancement of visible-light photocatalytic hydrogen

Yizeng Zhang et al.

Summary: By rational oxygen doping, the band structure of g-C3N4 is improved, narrowing the band gap and reducing the recombination rate of photogenerated carriers. Additionally, the hollow nanotube structure of OCN provides multiple diffuse reflection during photocatalytic reaction, significantly enhancing the utilization capacity of visible light and improving the photocatalytic water splitting performance.

One-step preparation of well-dispersed spindle-like Fe2O3 nanoparticles on g-C3N4 as highly efficient photocatalysts

ShuYao Xiong et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel one-step method for preparing highly efficient photocatalyst Fe2O3/g-C3N4, which showed higher photocatalytic performance compared to multi-step prepared photocatalyst. Characterization results confirmed the composites of Fe2O3/g-C3N4 and revealed the mechanism of basic fuchsin removal.

Faster electron injection and higher interface reactivity in g-C3N4/Fe2O3 nanohybrid for efficient photo-Fenton-like activity toward antibiotics degradation

Hui Zhao et al.

Summary: Two different morphologies of Fe2O3 (nanodots and nanosheets) were deposited on g-C3N4 nanosheets using simple in-situ deposition and impregnation-hydrothermal methods. The Fe2O3 structure had a significant impact on the photo-Fenton-like activity and charge transfer kinetics of the g-C3N4/Fe2O3 hybrids. The nanodot-Fe2O3 structure exhibited faster electron injection rate and higher efficiency compared to the nanosheet-Fe2O3 counterpart, resulting in higher tetracycline removal efficiency and rate under visible light stimulation.
