Effect of PAA-induced surface etching on the adhesion properties of ZnO nanostructured films

Summary: This study investigated the effect of morphology and surface chemistry of zinc oxide-modified surfaces on the macroscopic adhesion of a model epoxy-based adhesive. Poly (acrylic acid) was used to improve interfacial adhesion and wet peel-forces were shown to correlate well with morphology and surface chemistry considered.
