Giant enhancements of high-order upconversion luminescence enabled by multiresonant hyperbolic metamaterials

This structure, featuring an Au nanohole array, a TiO2 thin film, and an Au reflector, not only shows promise in photochemistry and photovoltaics, but also allows for optimization of TiO2 thickness to achieve enhanced mode coupling.
