CNTs/MOF-808 painted plates for extended treatment of pharmaceutical and agrochemical wastewaters in a novel photocatalytic reactor

Summary: The photocatalysis technology faces a significant gap between academic research and practical application, but focusing on reactor design, fixed photocatalysts, real wastes, and cost estimation can enhance its feasibility. The use of CNTs/MOF-808 coated plates in a photocatalytic reactor showed stable and effective degradation of CBZ and diazinon. The study optimized operational parameters, investigated degradation mechanisms, and achieved successful reduction of organic pollutants in real liquid wastes, along with cost estimations for large-scale applications.

Optimization of catalytic wet peroxide oxidation of carbofuran by Ti-LaFeO3 dual photocatalyst

Summary: In this study, a robust dual catalyst of Ti-substituted LaFeO3 was synthesized for simultaneous photocatalytic wet peroxide oxidation to degrade carbofuran. The modified catalyst showed enhanced CBF degradation compared to the pristine LaFeO3 due to its reduced bandgap. Optimization of experimental parameters led to a 90.6% CBF removal rate within 180 minutes, demonstrating the catalyst's stability and efficiency.
