Facile preparation of the spinel CuCo2O4 Application to hydrogen photo-production

R. Bagtache et al.

Summary: A simple method using co-precipitation in KOH medium at 140 degrees C was proposed for the preparation of spinel CuCo2O4, which was characterized by physical and photoelectrochemical techniques. The oxide exhibited high purity, porous structure, and optical transition with an energy of 1.38 eV. The material demonstrated semiconducting behavior, redox characteristics, and photocatalytic performance under visible light irradiation for hydrogen production.

Manganese oxide promoter effects in the copper-catalyzed hydrogenation of ethyl acetate

Rolf Beerthuis et al.

Summary: Manganese oxide was found to be an efficient promoter for Cu-based hydrogenation of ethyl acetate, leading to a significant enhancement in catalytic activity and stability, as well as a decrease in apparent activation energy.
