The KEAP1-NRF2 System as a Molecular Target of Cancer Treatment

Keiko Taguchi et al.

Summary: The KEAP1-NRF2 system attracts extensive interest in cancer research due to NRF2's dual activity as an oncogene and tumor suppressor. NRF2-addicted cancers exhibit high NRF2 expression and somatic mutations stabilize and accumulate NRF2. These cancers hijack NRF2's cytoprotective roles to survive in harsh microenvironments.
