Recent advances in fluorescence imaging of alkaline phosphatase

Fluorescence imaging provides a reliable way to monitor real-time changes in ALP levels, with research focusing mainly on ALP imaging probes grouped by their luminescence mechanisms. Challenges and future prospects for phosphatase probes were also discussed.

Ultrasensitive Electrochemiluminescence Biosensor Based on Closed Bipolar Electrode for Alkaline Phosphatase Detection in Single Liver Cancer Cell

Summary: An ultrasensitive electrochemiluminescence biosensor based on a closed bipolar electrode was proposed for the detection of alkaline phosphatase. The sensitivity of the system was greatly enhanced by utilizing enzyme catalysis for signal amplification and electrodeposition of Au nanoparticles on the cathode surface. This biosensor showed high sensitivity and specificity, with a detection limit as low as 3.7 aM, and successfully realized ALP detection in single cells.
