Summary: The study uncovered the important role of TG2 in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), driving the pathological mechanism by crosslinking protein substances. The related proteins are mainly enriched in processes such as lipid metabolism, immune system, and protein transport. Network analysis indicated that these proteins are associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor signals.
