Recyclable and removable functionalization based on Diels-Alder reaction of black phosphorous nanosheets and its dehydration carbonization in fire safety improvement of polymer composites

Summary: By utilizing reversible Diels-Alder reaction, precise control over the formation and elimination of surface functionalization composed of triallyl isocyanurate on black phosphorous (BP) nanosheets has been achieved. This surface functionalization not only enhances the interfacial interaction between BP nanosheets and polymer matrix, but also converts them into phosphorus pentoxide and phosphoric acid with dehydration carbonization effect. Incorporating functionalized BP nanosheets significantly reduces the peak heat release rate (PHRR) and total heat release (THR) of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) in cone calorimetric tests.

Barrier function of graphene for suppressing the smoke toxicity of polymer/black phosphorous nanocomposites with mechanism change

Summary: The use of melamine-mediated graphene/black phosphorous nanohybrids effectively suppresses the heat and smoke release behavior of polymer/BP nanocomposites, reducing the combustion performance of TPU composites significantly. Introducing such nanostructured hybrid materials can greatly improve the fire safety of polymer composites.

Summary: The study developed a biodegradable and biocompatible black phosphorus-based nanoagent for cancer diagnosis and therapy. This nanoagent has excellent photothermal properties and drug delivery capacity, serving as a novel therapeutic platform with low dosage and side effects. Both the polymer and BPQD are degradable, indicating this platform is a rare PT-OCT agent that is completely biodegradable.

Summary: Photo-immunotherapy using black phosphorus nanoparticles modified with hyaluronic acid shows excellent therapeutic efficacy through combined photothermal and photodynamic therapy, remodeling tumor-associated macrophages and inducing immunogenic cell death. The nanoparticles selectively accumulate at the tumor site and induce antitumor immune responses by releasing DAMPs.
