Nurses' perception of teamwork and its relationship with the occurrence and reporting of adverse events: A questionnaire survey in teaching hospitals

Edris Kakemam et al.

Summary: Teamwork perception among Iranian nurses was moderate to high, and was found to be significantly associated with both the occurrence and reporting of adverse events. Nurses with a better understanding of teamwork concepts were more likely to report adverse events, while higher teamwork levels were associated with lower occurrences of adverse events. Further research is needed to explore the impact of teamwork training on nurses' outcomes in team performance, adverse event occurrence, and reporting.
