Group-velocity-dispersion engineering of tantala integrated photonics

Summary: Tantala is an emerging material platform for integrated photonics and nanophotonics, offering broadband ultralow loss, moderately high nonlinearity, and advantages for scalable and heterogeneous integration. Refractive index measurements on a thin film of tantala can be used for group-velocity-dispersion engineering, providing a sensitive test of the integrated photonics design process.
