Comparative life cycle assessment of Fe2O3-based fibers as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries

Angela Malara et al.

Summary: Sodium-ion batteries, seen as a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to lithium-ion batteries, require the development of low-cost, non-toxic, high-performance electrode materials. This study uses a life cycle assessment (LCA) model to evaluate the environmental impact of electrospun iron (III) oxide-based fibers as anode materials. Results show that silicon-doped anode materials exhibit better electrochemical performance and lower environmental impact compared to undoped materials.

Preparation and catalytic evaluation of a palladium catalyst deposited over modified clinoptilolite (Pd@MCP) for chemoselective N-formylation and N-acylation of amines

Mina Amirsoleimani et al.

Summary: The novel palladium nanoparticles stabilized by clinoptilolite as a natural zeolite showed good to excellent yields in N-formylation and N-acylation of amines at room temperature. The catalyst, easily recovered and reused for 7 consecutive runs without loss in activity, was characterized structurally and morphologically using XRD, FT-IR, BET, and TEM techniques.

Nickel-Copper bimetallic mesoporous nanoparticles: As an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for N-alkylation of amines with alcohols

Zahra Nasresfahani et al.

Summary: A bimetallic catalyst (Ni/Cu-MCM-41) was prepared via co-condensation method and its catalytic performance in N-alkylation of amines with alcohols through a hydrogen autotransfer process was investigated. The catalyst showed high efficiency in synthesizing a range of secondary and tertiary amines with good to excellent isolated yields, while maintaining its activity after being successfully recovered and reused four times.
