Electrophysiology using coaxial atom probe array: live imaging reveals hidden circuits of a hippocampal neural network

Pushpendra Singh et al.

Summary: Using a new dielectric imaging method, we visualize the hidden branch selection process and neural circuits operating in different time domains. The study reveals electromagnetic field connections between branches of neurons, forming multiple coexisting circuits in a neural network. Thus, the neural circuits visible under a microscope are just a fraction of the various circuits operating concurrently in different time domains.
