Exogenous salicylic acid positively affects morpho-physiological and molecular responses of Impatiens walleriana plants grown under drought stress

Summary: The exogenous application of salicylic acid (SA) mitigated the adverse effects of water deficit stress on Impatiens walleriana plants, improving growth and ornamental characteristics. The 'Salmon' cultivar displayed better tolerance to drought stress compared to 'Tempo.' Furthermore, the application of 2 mM SA enhanced growth and physiological indices in drought-stressed Impatiens, attenuating the negative impacts of water deficit stress on this ornamental species.
