Effect of Pour Point Depressants Combined with Dispersants on the Cold Flow Properties of Biodiesel-Diesel Blends

Summary: A series of terpolymers were synthesized and used as pour point depressants for waste cooking oil biodiesel blends, with the addition of optimized dispersants to enhance their depressive effects. The presence of dispersants efficiently improved the solubility and dispersibility of polymeric pour point depressants in biodiesel blends, resulting in better depressive effects. Among the combinations tested, C16MC-MB-NVP with FAPE 7 dispersant showed the best synergistic effect, significantly reducing the cloud point, cold filter-plugging point, and pour point of the biodiesel blends.
