Temperature dependent electrical and optical properties with higher photosensitivity of Cu2Se absorber thin films for photo voltaic application

J. Henry et al.

Summary: Cu2Se thin films were deposited on glass substrates using a simple and low-cost chemical bath deposition method, followed by annealing at 100, 200, and 300 degrees C. The films exhibited cubic structured Cu2Se that was well crystallized at 200 degrees C. The particle size increased with annealing temperature.

Exploring the microstructural, optoelectronic properties of deposition time dependent Cu2Sn(S,Se)3 thin film synthesized by non-vacuum arrested precipitation technique

Monika P. Joshi et al.

Summary: A novel chemical approach was used to synthesize Cu2Sn(S,Se)(3) (CTSSe) thin films by controlled release of ions from a complexed solution using nonvacuum arrested precipitation technique. The deposition time affected the microstructural and optoelectronic properties of the CTSSe thin films, resulting in reduced band gap energy and improved grain size. The synthesized CTSSe thin films showed promise for efficient photocathode fabrication in photovoltaic applications.

Preparation of Cu2Se thin films by vacuum evaporation and hot-pressing

Xiaodong Hua et al.

Summary: A method using vacuum evaporation and hot-pressing to prepare Cu2Se thin films on Cu substrates was developed, studying the effects of heating temperature, time, and pressure on their crystallinities. Highly crystalline films were obtained at 280 degrees C with low pressure and short time, demonstrating a thermoelectric potential for heat-to-electricity conversion.

Sound absorption and thermal insulation characteristics of fabrics made of pure and crossbred sheep waste wool

Zahra Mohammadi Ghermezgoli et al.

Summary: The study showed that crossbreeding improved fiber fineness and subsequently enhanced the sound absorption performance of woolen fabrics. Fabrics made from waste wool demonstrated better thermal insulation effects, and were found to have comparable acoustic and thermal properties to traditional mineral/wool and glass fiber materials. Waste wool was highlighted as an environmentally friendly insulation material that is also cost-effective, biodegradable, and readily available.
