Mixed convection-radiation in lid-driven cavities with nanofluids and time-dependent heat-generating body

Summary: This study numerically investigated the mixed convection heat transfer and thermal radiation in a cavity filled with an alumina-water nanofluid under the effect of a heat-generating solid element. It was found that factors such as the Rayleigh number, Reynolds number, thermal radiation parameter, heater location, oscillation frequency, and nanoparticles volume fraction had significant effects on liquid flow and heat transfer processes.
