The European Resuscitation Council Ethics guidelines focus on evidence-based recommendations for the ethical practice of resuscitation and end-of-life care for adults and children. The guidelines emphasize major ethical interventions such as advance directives, advance care planning, and shared decision making. These guidelines are closely related to the application of bioethical principles in the field of resuscitation and end-of-life care.
